THOUGHTS ON THE YOUTH AND THE VOTING PROCESS

Wiseman    #1 There are segments of our youth within the urban and suburban areas, especially within American society, that appear to lack appreciation and respect for their voting rights. They don't recognize the sacrifices made by previous generations in efforts to secure the right to vote. Some older people may even feel that today's youth don't understand the power of voting. So they're not only ignorant and ungrateful, the youth are also impatient and undisciplined, with no respect for the voting process. In my humble opinion, I believe the dissatisfaction, frustration and impatience supposedly within today's youth, is the same frustration and distrust secretly held within the hearts of their parents. Generations of the past have transferred their disdain for this political process to the children. It's in their blood, its in the subconsciousness of the grandparents, this hatred for the years of broken promises of politicians, and the youth have fed from th

ARE INTERRACIAL CHILDREN AT A DISADVANTAGE WHEN RAISED BY SINGLE PARENTS

Wiseman   #1 Interracial children are not at a disadvantage simply because they're being raised by a single white mother. Whether through adoption or as the result of a death or a divorce, if the single parent, male or female, white or black, remains loving, creative, unselfish and faithfully dedicated to the advancement of the family, I believe the children can prosper and thrive. The ultimate objective of parenting is to successfully raise children, to cultivate their minds to a degree that they can live independent of the parent. The constant intent is to raise them to b

IS COURTING A LOST ART?

Wiseman #1 In the traditional sense, within the context of dating, a common definition of the word "court" means: to engage in social activities leading to engagement and marriage. So to date someone, to court that special someone, was to do so with the intent to possibly marry. Today, marriage has been cheapened, trivialized, reduced to an empty act, and devoid of any significant spiritual meaning or emotional relevance. TV shows make a mockery of marriage, courtship and the overall dating process. Courting has become a casual nonchalant interaction with the act of "sex" being the ultimate aim or objective. In other words, dating is simply foreplay. Pop culture via social media platforms has over emphasized a constant focus on physical appearance. Body mass index, hips to waist ratio, breast cup size, bicep, triceps and chest size, inch and width of the overall size of the penis. We have become mere "measurements" caricatures, distorted and physically abn
